Secondary English Teacher

1. Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning:

• Develop and implement engaging and well-structured lesson plans aligned with the school's English curriculum and educational standards.
•  Integrate various teaching methods, technologies, and resources to cater to 
• different learning styles and abilities.
  Utilize a variety of teaching materials, including textbooks, worksheets, multimedia resources, and real-life examples.

 2. Instruction and Classroom Management: 

• Deliver lessons that promote active student participation, critical thinking, and skill development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. 
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity. 
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing discipline strategies that are consistent with the school's policies and guidelines. 

3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

•  Design and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate students' language proficiency and track their progress over time.
•  Analyze assessment results to identify learning gaps and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
•  Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their assignments, projects, and assessments. 

4. Individualized Support:

• Identify students who require additional support or enrichment and develop personalized learning plans to address their needs.
  o Collaborate with special education teachers, learning support staff, and parents 
• to ensure that students with diverse learning requirements receive appropriate assistance. 

5. Parent and Stakeholder Communication:

• Establish open lines of communication with parents and guardians through regular meetings, emails, and reports to discuss students' academic progress and areas for improvement.
•  Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events to foster a strong home-school partnership. 

6. Professional Development: 

• Stay updated on the latest trends, research, and best practices in English language teaching through continuous professional development. 
• Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and pedagogical knowledge. 

7. Extracurricular Activities:

• Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities, such as literary clubs, writing competitions, drama performances, and language-related events.
